Budget Challenge E-Textbook

At Budget Challenge, we are well aware of the many challenges our teachers are facing due to Covid-19. We know how busy our teachers are with the many additional demands placed on them. Because of that we are pre-released sections of our new companion financial literacy textbook which will be included with all Budget Challenge licenses. Our new e-textbook is one of the most up-to-date and comprehensive resources available. It includes significantly expanded content compared to our existing curriculum along with new assessment tools to promote student learning.

We know that many of our students are in a distance and remote learning environment and may or may not have access to a PC, laptop, Chromebook, or pad. Therefore, we have taken a number of steps to increase usability without watering down content.

Chapters are available as individual PDFs which teachers can share with their students through classroom management systems, shared folders, or even via email. Teachers also have permission to print the chapters for all registered students.

The textbook is in a single column format for easier scrolling on all devices and is usable even on cell phones.

Extraneous graphics and pictures have been omitted to reduce file size.

Each chapter includes individual section pre-reading questions, and end of chapter assessments. These assessments typically include 15 to 20 questions, an ELA Connection, Math Connection, and In the Sim question that relates specifically to Budget Challenge.

The Teacher Guide for the chapters includes a chapter overview, lesson objectives, lesson suggestions, and answer key.

The existing curriculum will continue to be available for teachers and students to use. Teachers have control over what materials they wish to assign to their students.

Chapters can be found at both Teacher Home>Curriculum and Student Home>Curriculum. The Teacher's Guide can also be found at  Teacher Home>Curriculum.
